The two models were underpinned by the Sony A65 as the Best Advanced DSLR and the Nikon D5100 as the Best Entry Level DSLR. The recently announced Canon 5D Mark III won Best Video DLSR.
In the compact system category, the Fujifilm X-Pro1 took top honours as the Best Professional CSC, followed by the Sony NEX-7 as Best Expert CSC, and Lumix GX1 as Best Advanced CSC. The Olympus PEN E-PL3 was awarded Best Entry Level CSC.
In the compact camera category, the Canon G1X emerged as the Best Expert Compact, with the Samsung MV800 awarded Best General Compact. Finishing things off was the Fujifilm XS-1 as Best Superzoom and the Pentax Optio WG-2 as best Ruggedised Compact and the ultra-expensive Leica M-9 awarded Best Premium Camera.
